Notes From Donors: March, 2009

We get tons of letters from folks who give to Union Mission. We usually pull some particularly touching comments and include them in newsletters, appeal letters and things like that...but only when space allows.

But here on the Web, we've got all the space we need, so I thought I'd start sharing exerpts from these letters. My prayer is that they'll inspire you to learn more about The Mission...and perhaps become a partner in prayer, time or treasure yourself.

"I am 89 years-old and my husband is 93. At present time medical bills and hospitalization runs high, but God has been so good to us. We are meeting all of our expenses. I realize I don't have a lot to spend but with God's help, it will help."

"When I receive the letters telling of the needy, desperate ones that have been helped at Brookside (Family Life Center), I'm so thankful for the part I have in The Mission. May the Lord continue to bless you and His work. I trust the Lord will bless each one as you serve (Him) in your own capacities: the mothers as they seekl to do the Lord's will and you...as you try to help and encourage them."

"We remember you and The Mission in prayer. You do a mighty work for our Lord. As I have said many times, you are His hands and feet in our area. I always know that money sent to you is used to help hurting people and to lift up our Lord...Thank you again for all that you do. You have shown your love and concern for us. We praise God for friends like you."
