Summer food distribution with Feed the Children

Tomorrow morning and into the early afternoon, we are participating with Feed the Children to provide food and personal care items to 600 families in the Charleston area.

We're particularly excited about NBA star O.J. Mayo being on hand; he and Charleston's own Randy Moss of the New England Patriots purchased two tractor trailer loads of food and personal care items for distribution to Union Mission guests.

Needless to say, this is an exciting time to partner with Union Mission and its efforts to help hurting people here in West Virginia. This economic downturn has hurt a lot of people, many of who are still able to make it. But what about those who were already unable to provide for themselves and their children?

(The event is part of Feed the Children's American's Feeding American's caravan, which is stopping in multiple cities throughout America this summer.)
